Shortstop Gunner Henderson (24, Baltimore Orioles), who hit as many as 37 cannons last year, will eventually start the 2025 season on the injured list.
Baltimore Banner, a local media outlet in Baltimore, said on the 24th (Korea time) that Henderson will be on the injured list.
Prior to this, Henderson has not played in an exhibition game since April 28 due to a minor intercostal sprain. As a result, he will eventually face the opening of the 2025 season from the injured list.
This marks Henderson's first injury list since his Major League debut. Henderson played 150 games and 159 games in 2023 and last year, respectively.
However, he will be absent soon. He is expected to return immediately after completing the 10-day injured list. He can come back on April 4.
Baltimore will play its opening four consecutive away games against the Toronto Blue Jays from April 28-31. The team will then play its home opening series against Boston on April 1, 3, and 4.
